ACCA - Pathway to a globally recognized career in Finance

From time immemorial accountancy has been considered indispensable and it is a career with a myriad of options. Accountancy could be your carte blanche to any sector which appeals to you; be it government, banking, retail, charity, movies, media, sport or travel. This respected profession guarantees excellent job prospects as accountants are vital to business. One of the best ways to embark on an accountancy career is to study with ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).

Unrivalled global network and recognition
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a British accountancy body which offers the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification worldwide. It is one of the largest and fast growing accountancy bodies spanning 170 countries.

The ACCA qualification is rightly seen as an international passport to wherever you want your career to take you. More people around the world will qualify with the said association than with any other international body. ACCA has been training people for more than 100 years. It is held in high regard by the business community with several large organizations holding ACCA Approved Employer status in recognition of the excellent support and development opportunities they provide to ACCA students and members.

There are many ways to gain a qualification with ACCA. One such would be the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification which is an introductory accounting technician qualification. Although it can be obtained as a sole qualification, it is often completed as a pre requisite to the professional ACCA scheme. Further the partnership with Oxford Brookes University enables students to obtain a degree and the ACCA qualification simultaneously, without doubling the workload. The Oxford Brooke University has been voted the best modern university for seven years in succession.

" I believe that ACCA offers the most cost effective solution for career progression, as it combines both professional and academic options for further study on all added advantages to a solid technical foundation in accounting and finance, that enables our members to perform confidently and efficiently" stated Aruni Rajakarier , Country Manager for ACCA Sri Lanka.

The ACCA accredited tuition provider in Sri Lanka are Mercury Institute of Management in Colombo 03 .
The Millennium Business Academy and Knowledge Base Business Studies (Pvt) Ltd in Colombo and The Tianshi International Commerce Institute Pvt Ltd in Kandy also provide tuition for ACCA.
