Richard Pieris Tyre Company appraises its authorized tyre dealers in the WP

All authorized tyre dealers in the Western Province who transact business with Richard Pieris Tyre Company's main factory at Navinna, Maharagama were appraised by the Companies Director/General Manager, Pushpika Janadeera at a function headed by him at the Biyagama Village Hotel. Over 200 dealers participated. And the winners were: First Place - Proprietor Chandrapala Wijesinghe of Kiribathgoda Tyre Service, Second Place - Proprietor Susantha Rathnayake of Rathnayake Stores Kirindiwela and Third Place - Proprietor Wasantha Pushpakumara of Chamara Enterprises Gampaha.
The winners received valuable prizes, certificates and trophies while the rest of the participants received a special commemorative gift.

What was noteworthy of this event was that the appraisals were carried out under the respective divisions -Tyre Retreading, Trading (Birla Corsa and other tyres) and tyre related products -seperately. The event concluded with a grand finale of song and dance for the enjoyment of all.

Richard Pieris Tyre Company is the pioneer in tyre rebuilding in Sri Lanka and the leader of the entire tyre market in the island. Over 50,000 tyres per month are released to the market with Arpidag being the flagship product of the company. Also Richard Pieris is the authorized dealer island wide for such super brands as Birla from India, Corsa Radial from Indonesia and Casumina from Vietnam. Apart from tyre trading the company also distributors Arpico Tubes, Birla Tubes and Arpico flaps. Gracing the appraisals ceremony, the chief guest, Director/General Manager.

Mr. Pushpika Janadeera in his address said that last year in spite of a tight financial scenario where most companies were on the verge of closure, Richard Pieris Tyre Company however was able to showcase profitability. That came about because of three good reasons: Their products were able to maintain high quality standards, delivery was on time and were affordable. All of this resulted in a high demand for the company's products. where by the company was able to realize its expansion schemes of the Nawinna Tyre Manufacturing Plant at a cost of Rs.15 million.
