Let EDLOCATE guide you at the July 2010 intake

Direct entry to any undergraduate course in an Australian university requires a student to have 3 Sri Lanka GCE - A/L passes or 2 London GCE A/L passes and grades to meet the entry score. However for those who do not possess direct entry scores, there are a number of pathways to a degree.

  • The one year University Foundation programme is primarily for smart students with excellent GCE O/L or London GCE AS levels results, to obtain a degree in an accelerated manner. However those who do not have the GCE A/L direct entry score, can use this pathway to enter an undergraduate programme in certain selected disciplines.
  • There are a number of one year Diploma programmes with good articulation to undergraduate programmes which can be the pathway to those who have sat the A/L and have 2 passes only. Some of these diploma courses provide entry to year 2 of a corresponding undergraduate programme.
  • Those who have passed 3 subjects at GCE A/L but on grades "just" falling short of the entry score can follow special pathway programmes like the Degree Transfer/ UniLink . These allow students to join the degree course with only a semester of additional studies.
