Interaction 2010

Interaction, a mega sports festival for the youth of Sri Lanka, is an event eagerly looked forward to in the calendar of the Interact District 3220. This year, Interaction, under the theme of ‘Dream it, believe it and achieve it’, is being organized with the incorporation all four avenues of Interact: Club Service, Community Service, Finance and International Understanding.

The first phase of Interaction 2010 was held on 23 January at the Racecourse grounds. Interactors from around the country participated in 6-a-side cricket, dodge ball and one bump cricket tournaments.

The competitors from numerous Interact Clubs had a great time and were able to interact with each other and develop team effort and build fellowship.

A novel feature of this event was having stalls run by the different clubs, where food from different countries were sold, in order to broaden the horizons of the participants while promoting international understanding.

With over 800 attendees, the first phase of Interaction 2010 ended on a high note. The next phases of the project will be held on 30 January and 6 February at Excel World and the British School in Colombo respectively. Having dreamt and believed, we are now at the crossroads to achieving success. Let us hold hands again as we spin the compass at this pivotal moment that will point us due north on our course to achieving success.
