Three non-Test playing nations engaged in a series of matches in Sri Lanka

ICC and Sri Lanka cricket in their bid to uplift the game in non-Test playing countries will go in for a T-20 quadrangular which will involve Sri Lanka ‘A’, Afghanistan, Ireland and Canada.

However initially the proceedings will begin with a four day game that would involve Ireland and Afghanistan for I cup that will be conducted by the ICC at the Dambulla International cricket Stadium.
This match will be played from the 21st to the 24th of January.

Meanwhile Canada will take on a series of 50 over games against the Sri Lanka ‘A’ team with Afghanistan joining them after their engagement with Ireland.

At the end of the 50 overs series, all four teams would engage themselves in a T20 tournament. The T20 matches are scheduled to be played at the SSC, NCC, Colts grounds and the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium.
