ACBT-Time and education spell success

The pathway to international education is clear with ACBT. Its recognized degree programmes give options for students to go beyond borders to complete their degrees. However, the most remarkable fact is that thousands of students who saw A/Ls as the only way out for a degree are now offered a gateway to success, where they get a head start with their O/L achievements to a University Foundation Programme (UFP) which is considered equivalent to A/L.

Both categories of students, who have received G.C.E. A/L results and who are taking the G.C.E. O/L exam, are now welcome to join ACBT's next intake from January 2010, where the new semester starts in the first week of March 2010. The answer to the ultimate question as to why ACBT continues to draw in the highest enrolments lie deeply embedded in the enrolment and academic structure of the institution.

Students can get started on an Australian degree that's internationally-recognized right after their Ordinary Level examinations by completing a University Foundation Programme (UFP), which is of 8-12 month duration. The UFP is recognized as an equivalent for A/Ls which traditionally consumes over two valuable years. Students can enroll with pending O/L results so that the waiting-period before receiving results is well spent. The structure, as a whole, enables them to complete their education faster than the conventional method and enter the competitive business world faster and younger.

Students who have completed their A/Ls can join the degree programme directly if they have two passes in core subjects and 5 passes in G.C.E. O/L including Credit (C) passes for Mathematics and English. Even students who have been unable to get through their A/L can join Diploma Programmes in Business or IT which is the first year of the renowned ECU degrees, with their O/L results and after completing the University Foundation Programme.

"Gone are the days where slow and steady wins the race. We live in a fast-track world where time and education is defined as success and that's what ACBT offers," says Sudash Liyanage, Marketing Manager of ACBT. "The pace of the global village is such that even a few days of taking it easy could leave us far behind in the rat race; which, ultimately makes it important for young Sri Lankans to plan their time prudently and obtain an education that's recognized the world over."

"Every decision made about education should also be a building block towards an individual's final goal rather than just being a stand-alone certificate of knowledge," he added. "Above all, the quality of the education should be world-class so that employment opportunities will be maximized. Employability doesn't come with mere understanding of the chosen stream but the necessary life-skills that give students an edge to succeed in any business environment. At ACBT, the development of those skills is given as much priority as the course content."

The marketing manager ended the conversation by mentioning that the academy is planning a special seasonal surprise which will be announced soon. Degrees offered by ACBT speak for themselves. With the course content and structure entirely based on ECU, students are awarded full ECU degrees in Sri Lanka, recognized all over the world, with the option to transfer to ECU at any stage of their studies after completing the first year, or to any other university in Australia as it is recognized by the Australian Government. At ACBT, the degrees are offered at 1/5th the cost overseas.

While ACBT's campus in Colombo continues to draw in the highest intakes in the industry, its recently opened Kandy College offers a range of higher education options too, affording students opportunities to acquire international education that is both globally-accepted and affordable.
