NEXT: The largest CIM Institute, launches Stage 1 in December

The Premier CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing UK) institute NEXT will launch the new Stage 1 intake this December 12th. NEXT is the largest CIM institute in Sri Lanka and retained this position over the last two years with record student numbers.

Speaking to Education Times, the Director / General Manager of NEXT, Ms Kumudu Abeywardene said 'we are extremely pleased and humbled with our performance in our last intake too. We had record numbers enrolling for CIM in the last intake. We exceeded 500 students, and this is a first for CIM education in Sri Lanka! While we are proud to create history, we know that it comes with responsibility, which is to provide even better standards to students'. She went on to say 'our success is solely because of the expert lecturer panel we have. We have industry practitioners like Dusty, Bertram, Ravi, Tharanga and Jeffry who are holding CEO or heads of marketing positions in leading multinational and local companies. They practice what they preach and is there a better way than learning marketing from the very people who practice? On top of that, our MBA qualified, expert panel has years of lecturing experience and are trained by CIM in UK. They know exactly how to guide students through assignments and prepare them for exams'.

NEXT is commencing the new CIM stage 1 (June 2010) intake on December 12th. The new syllabus that started almost a year back has been a runaway success. Students are able to practice marketing through assignments and benefit from experiential learning. This is the strength of the new syllabus. NEXT was able to start a new batch in September 2009 just after the A/L examinations, which was a success and a need for early starters. When we asked the Director / General Manager of NEXT, Ms Kumudu Abeywardene about the Dec intake she said 'last week A/L results were out. We get many inquiries for Stage 1 now. We are starting this new batch to accommodate school leavers who are now ready to start a marketing qualification. Also there are a lot of inquiries from people who are already employed. Our lecture panel is well experienced to guide students through assignment and prepare them for examination. We understand that there is a gap that we need to bridge when school leavers start CIM, that's why we provide step by step detailed assignment guidelines as NEXT publications to assist our students to achieve success'. She added 'we urge all our students to register fast as there are limited seats available'.

NEXT School of Business was started by a group of practicing marketers to provide quality CIM education to students. Today NEXT is the largest CIM institute in Sri Lanka. NEXT is conveniently located down Havelock road with easy access through public transport. The state of the art five storied learning facility provides all modern conveniences to students.
