Pallekelle will host the match between Pakistan and Bangladesh today in the Under 19 Tri-series that will take place along with hosts Sri Lanka.

This stadium is one of the venues that is earmarked to host matches the matches between Pakistan vs New Zealand, Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe and Pakistan vs Zimbabwe in the 2011 World Cup where Sri Lanka is one of the main hosts.

However this particular tour has hit a huge snag as no TV company has come forward to televise the event and the cash strapped host nation now also riddled with a host of legal problems will run into another big loss at the end of the series. However two local institutions – Elephant House and Bank of Ceylon has come forward at the last moment as the local sponsors of the tour.

The schedule for the tri series reads as -- Pakistan vs Bangladesh at Pallekelle (today), Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh at the Dambulla Stadium on 30th November, Sri Lanka vs Pakistan at Dambulla on December 2, Pakistan vs Bangladesh at Dambulla on Dec 3 , Sri Lanka vs Pakistan at the Moratuwa Stadium on Dec 5, Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh at the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium on Dec 6, Final on Dec 8 at the P. Saravanamuttu Stadium.
