Support for Palestine group affirms right to freedom

The Sri Lanka Committee for Solidarity with Palestine said it stands for the right to freedom of the Palestinian people.

Committee Co-Chairperson Imithiaz Bakeer Markar in a message to mark the occasion of the international day of solidarity with the Palestinian people said “We share the Palestinian goals for freedom and justice and their dreams of being able to live in their own homes and to work in their own land.

“The plight of the Palestinian people is a scar on the conscience of humanity. As a nation which had experienced centuries of colonization and a three-decade-long internal conflict, we Sri Lankans truly realize the value of freedom and justice”.
