N’ Eliya road a ‘mess’

Residents of Sandathenna, in the Nuwara Eliya district, staged a protest recently, saying a road that was built in 2006 under the Maga Neguma programme is a “mess” and almost unusable.

The road is the main access to several state institutions in the area.Residents say the road has been repaired on seven occasions, but is still in poor condition.
