Shuttle champ Paveen Mendis
Paveen Mendis of Gampaha Bandarnaike College won the under 15 (boys) badminton championship at the Gampaha District Schools Badminton Tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association. The event was held at the Gampaha Nawaloka Youth Centre and Gampaha Bandaranaike College bagged the overall championship.

DSS win at rugby

The D. S. Senanayake College in Colombo emerged rugby plate champions in the all island under 14 worked out this week. The college also emerged winners in the under 12 big match played against Thurstan College.
The under 10 team also qualified to enter the First Invitation Tournament.
