Dinesh slams second ton

Rising star Dinesh Chandimal slammed his second ton of the ongoing Premier Tier ‘A’ cricket tournament when he cracked a quick-fire 164 against CCC at the NCC ground.

Dinesh who unbeaten on 100 on day one made his knock off 168 balls which included 17 boundaries and five towering sixes. NCC skipper Upul Tharanga too came back into form with a 210 ball knock of 155 which included 17 boundaries and three sixes.

Skipper Upul along with Yohan de Silva (who made 88) gave the home side a flying start of 207 runs which laid the foundation for the mammoth score of 551 for 9 declared by NCC. CCC in their turn was 76 for 1.
