Controversial by nature

He is controversial by nature. While he was representing the country he was called for bending the arm. Then he was also booked for bad behaviour and booked more than once. But, still the other day when this bowler was given out while batting crashed the wickets with his bat and created a ‘stir’ with the umpires. Now the umpires are going make another complaint saying that he is not disciplined enough to play the game at the highest level.

He’s back again
The once controversial SLC figure – ‘Podi Sir’ has begun to haunt the joint again. Most of the guys who are attached to the organization are wondering, why this guy, without any reason, is haunting this place? Is he thinking of making a come back? Then ‘God save the Game!’

Seeking salvation
The umpires in general are contemplating in making another visit to the Temple Tree House as no action has been taken by the authorities on those who were found guilty after the inquiry into the UC issue.

Amathi Kuttiya
The Tender prices for the re-doing of the running track had hit the sky!!! The word went around a Big House and a Dr. DS was looking for their ‘pound of flesh’ in this deal. However when things came to light and bids were called up once again the prices had gone down by two-thirds!!!

Still no big game
With the referees society put into a sleeping mode Cheena and Baldy Jaya (thrown out by the Lions) got active together. The Baldy did referee the Merc. Sevens and was slow as a tortoise as Somey kept telling others. The guy who went with Cheena and the Interim still finds that he has not got a good game. Still the guy has no big game and Inka Dee got the final. At Welisara he learnt that Sevens and Fifteens are altogether a different type of rugby.

Don’t trust Cheena
Somey feels Cheena is trying the hot seat and so he will still not get a good game. So he keeps reminding others about the man who got only two votes the last time he contested. Reason was still Cheena does not give him a big match. Don’t trust Cheena he says. SIN …. NO?

Give him time
Gerald Toddy Iah refereed Merc sevens and dished out five yellow cards during the 14 minutes the game was played. Why does this man keep on refereeing asked an ardent ageing supporter? Grandpa said the young one with him is learning to referee. Give him time. Grandpa answered no wonder the old lot only gave him substitutions.
