The 6th Annual Cricket Encounter between MCA Veterans and Lanka Cavaliers for the “Tyrone De Siva” Challenge Trophy will be played today, Sunday, 25th October at the MCA grounds. Commencing 10.00am.
The 25 Overs a side match is hosted by Lanka Cavalier this year.
The match was inaugurated in 2004 and the tally stands at 3: all. Past results: 2004 at MCA – Lanka Cavaliers , 2005 at Colts – Lanka Cavaliers ,2006 at MCA joint winners, match ending in a “tie”, 2007 at Colts - MCA Veterans , 2008 at MCA –MCA Veterans.
There will be four Special Awards on Offer, for the best batsman, best bowler, best fielder and Man of the Match.
Former MCA President, Tyrone de Silva who donated the trophy in 2004, during his tenure will be the Chief Guest.
