Zahira Ranaviru challenge trophy 2009

“Zahira Ranaviru Challenge Trophy” (ZRCT) will be held today – Sunday 4th October at the Zahira College grounds Maradana. The organizing committee will felicitate the families of the late servicemen of Zahira College On this day. The event will start at 3.00pm with a friendly Rugby match between players of over 40 and past national players of Zahira.

The big match between past and the present Zahirians will follow. Former president of Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU), Senior DIG Nimal Lewke will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The event’s main sponsor is Mr. Fawzan Anver, an old boy of the college.

The event is organized by the “Zahira Old Boys’ Rugby Association” well known as “ZOBRA” and the organizing team would like to invite all well wishes and past rugby players to participate in this memorable event.
