An Unique Entertainer - Support him while he is alive

A fan of Sunil Perera from Colombo writes…...

Last week I saw Sunil of Gypsies at a concert in Sugathadasa Stadium. I was quite impressed, I felt (as always he has done) through song he is desperately with a pain in his heart trying to convey a message to his people in Sri Lanka. Even the song about his father he sings with great respect and appreciation for what his father has done for him.

Even thru his new song ‘No problem Apita Kiyanna’ he is trying to tell us about some common issues in a home if not nipped in the bud affects the society at large. These are basics taught in Daham Pasala or at Sunday’s School.

Sometime back he sang a fun song as an ‘eye opener’ about the pathetic condition. We were in it says ‘Suddanta Tuition Themuco Api’ (Let’s Give Tution to the White Men) true that was then.

But God is blessing us now. As Sunil sees this yesterday, we will be able to give tuition to the white man soon. We Sri Lankans are brilliant people with lots of talent and potential. As an example I can see Sangakkara giving directions or new thinking to the cricket world.

Very many are doing it. You will see more and more of this rising of our people in time to come. ‘IF ONLY YOU CAN SEE’

We can pursue our dream to be an example to the West in lore as they have been a blessing to us in the past and now. But first is first. We have to get our act together. Let’s join hands with Sunil and Voice our opening humbly (not with arrogance and pride) wherever we are placed in lofting one another in Love.. Love is the key. As a nation we have suffered enough. Enough is enough. Let’s stop blaming. Let’s give out the little we have and give our best. Simply as that.

May be you are a boss in an office, school teacher, policeman, politician, journalist, radio announcer, sportsman, carpenter, labourer, accountant, salesman, preacher... anyone for that matter. Everyone has a sphere of authority. Let’s call spade a spade in love.... Quit playing games with others’ hearts.
Who are you that you should be afraid of a man who will die or who will be made like grass. Fear you maker?

Sunil Perera is a Sri Lankan legend., like MJ for USA. Support him while he is alive.
