Asian Chemists' biennial meeting in Shanghai, China

Professor J. N. Oleap Fernando, Honorary Dean of the College of Chemical Sciences and Past President of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon has left the island to represent the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon at the 15th General Assembly of the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies held in conjunction with the 13th Asian Chemical Congress.

This biennial gathering of Chemists in the Australian region is being held from September 12 to 16 in Shanghai, China. This is the ninth occasion on which Professor Fernando has represented the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon at this important meeting.
