Royal College wins National School Games Tennis Championship

Royal College won the National School Games Tennis title for the 2nd consecutive year at the national tennis center last weekend.

Top seeds, the Royalists had little trouble in reaching the final. They defeated De Mazenod College 2-0, St. Patrick’s College Jaffna 2-0 and in the Semi Finals beat St Michael’s College, Batticaloa 2-0.

The Royal College team consisted of captain- Indika Wettasinghe, vice Captain-Shehan Gomesz, Kushan Weerakkody, Mohommad Shaarkir , Anujan Subramaniam and Ashan De Silva with the teacher in charge Mrs. I. Hamangoda.
