Detective’s journey to Corsica

The French film L’enquête Corse (The Corsican Investigation), a journey of a private detective to Corsica will be screened at 3 pm on Tuesday, September 15 and at 6.30 pm on Wednesday September 16 at the Alliance Francais.

Directed by Alain Berbérian, the film narrates about a mild-mannered private detective Jack Palmer who heads from Paris to Corsica to let a certain Ange Leoni know he’s inherited an estate.

Never knowing whether he’ll step unwittingly into an ancient grudge, be kidnapped by armed ski mask-wearing tough guys, used as a pawn by bumbling nationalists or railroaded by legal authorities, Palmer is ready to call it quits when extremely attractive Lea offers him a rather compelling distraction.

This 2004 film is played by Christian Clavier (Rémi François, Jack Palmer), Jean Reno (Ange Leoni) anmd Caterina Murino (Léa Leoni).
