Funday Times - A Poem for the week

A tribute to Rev. Sr. Adrian
By Sanduni Wijerathne (11+ years), Sacred Heart Convent, Galle

"When I was in the prep S.S.C.,
She came to the S.H.C.
That was in nineteen fifty,"
Grandma said to me.

"She taught us English literature,
To which we listened with pleasure,
About nightingales, skylarks and daffodils,"
Grandma said to me.

"She was very pretty and nice,
She was very simple and wise,
And she had beautiful eyes,"
Grandma said to me.

On the fifth of September last year,
She left us ‘Heartians’ forever,
But our beautiful little angel,
Will look after us forever.
