Sixty-two kids, ages ranging from 8 – 15 years had the time of their lives from August 28 – 30, 2009 at the "Summer Camp Lodge" when Nature Odyssey and Cinnamon Lodge, Habarana rolled out this very unique camping event.

The campers named their groups 'Stallions', 'Killer Cats' and 'Crocs'. These very energetic kids went through a hectic but fun-filled program learning new skills, exposing hidden talents, making friendships, accepting differences, tolerance, strengths and weaknesses, winning and losing etc.

Team building games, wildlife safaris, nature walks, introduction to photography, paintball shooting at targets, cookery lessons with the Executive Chef, and a dancing competition met every camper's interest and enthusiasm.

The lighting of the campfire was a high-point! The kids around the fire singing camp songs, the boundary of the camp lit up with fire torches, the tents along the river, the huts, branches of trees swishing against the wind… It was a perfect camp setting.

The Talent Show the next night was the highlight of the camp along with a BBQ dinner for both parents and campers. After the awards ceremony, the campers bid farewell to all the Aunties, Uncles and the Akkis (of the camp team) with much sadness – promising to be there for the next one. It was a wonderful
experience for this new generation, who took away with them many great memories.
