Don Bosco stuns Army

Don Bosco stunned defending champions Army with a 2-1 win in a Dialog Champion Trophy football tournament encounter played at Negombo yesterday. The score was one each at the breather.

In another match New Young’s defeated fancied Negombo Youth 1-0 which was played at the Maris Stella ground in Negombo after the score was nil all at lemons.

The encounter between Ratnam SC and Renown SC played at the City Football Complex ground in Slave Island ended in a one all draw after a scoreless first half. Three matches are down for decision today with two to be played in Colombo and the other at Kelaniya.

Saunders SC will clash with Old Bens at the FFSL Sports Complex in Kelaniya while Blue Star SC Kalutara will meet Police at Police Park and Jupiters SC Negombo will contest with Air Force at FFSL Complex in Slave Island. -MSA
