The Past Pupils' Association of Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya proudly presents Rhythm ‘N’ Fashion – an evening which they promise will be a memorable one, with a dazzling line-up of fashion, music, entertainment, surprises and so much more. This colourful event will be held on Sunday, September 13 from 6.30pm onwards at King’s Court, Cinnamon Lakeside (former Trans Asia Hotel).

A fashion show with both Eastern and Western segments is one of the many items lined up. The Western segment will be designed by Ruchira Silva of Rebel while the Eastern segment will feature the latest collection of saris and shalwars by GeeBees. The fashion show will be choreographed by former model Geraldine Bandaranaike and will have well-known professional models walking the ramp.

The musical extravaganza will feature singing sensations, Bathiya and Santhush along with Umara, Randir, Ashanthi and a DJ to keep the crowd well entertained. The poolside will be dotted with stalls selling costume jewellery, linen, saris and a variety of other items and will be open from 5.30pm onwards. The participants will also have an opportunity to win a variety of prizes from the numerous draws to be held during the course of the night.

The fundraiser is being held to set up an archive for the school. With a fascinating history spanning over a century, HFC, Bambalapitiya is famed for turning out strong, resourceful women and has a rich past, marked with a number of accomplishments. The organizers urge all past pupils to contribute any memorabilia they may have, to be sorted and displayed at the archives in order to showcase and mark the school’s journey over the past years.

The main sponsor for the event is Harcourts (Pvt) Ltd, makers of Sureslim and Biona. Co-Sponsors include CIC Vetcare (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel and The Oak Tree – Entertainment Store for music and movies. The electronic media sponsors for the event are Lite FM (TNL Radio Network – Exclusive Radio partner) and Derana, while the print media sponsor is The Sunday Times.

Tickets, priced at Rs. 2,000/- inclusive of a snack, are available at Rebel – Majestic City and Crescat, GeeBees – Duplication Road and Janet’s Salon – Ward Place, Colombo 7.
