JKH – best Lankan corporate - Business Today magazine

John Keells Holdings (JKH), which figured prominently in the Supreme Court judgment on the privatisation of Lanka Marine Services, was picked as the best company in business magazine, The Business Today’s TOP 10 awards.

The awards are held every year to honour the best corporate performers in Sri Lanka and the latest awards was for the year 2007/2008 and presented at a ceremony in Colombo this week with Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa was the Chief Guest.

According to a press release by the magazine, JKH has consistently secured a position in the Business Today TOP 10 and was also awarded the number one position previously. The other nine awards went to Sri Lanka Telecom, Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka, Commercial Bank of Ceylon, Dialog Telekom, Hatton National Bank, Lanka IOC, Carson Cumberbatch, Aitken Spence & Company and Cargills (Ceylon).
