Games on iPhone

Tech Talk with Devaka

I had a rather boring period over the past few days, and decided to play around with some new games. Interestingly enough, I realized that there is a clear shift in demand for iPhone application games. We all know the capacity and the power the iPhone carries, and because of that I wouldn’t be surprised to see some classy, heavily featured games released for this platform. Here are a few that are already available for iPhone fans out there.

Real Soccer ‘09

For football fans, such as yours truly this delivers quite stunning graphics and gameplay. The game provides on-screen controls that you can use to execute various tricks with the players during the 15-minute-long matches. The selling point for me was the fact that it had multiplayer mode, if you have a simple Wi-Fi connection.

iDracula - Undead Awakening

For some people, shooting at anything that moves is the perfect leisure-time activity. If you are among that tribe, you’ll definitely like this game. With easy controls, good graphics, and an engaging soundtrack, iDracula will have you up and slaying monsters within seconds. The longer you survive, the more demons attack you and the better everyone’s weapons get.

Wolfenstein 3D Classic

Now who wouldn’t want to play this ! Wolfenstein 3D Classic brings back the good old day’s game’s thrills to the iPhone. You get the same pixelated characters and nonstop action that engrossed you way back when--but with an all-new control system that relies on a touch area and the iPhone’s accelerator.

Need for Speed Undercover

This exceedingly popular console game has finally made its way onto the iPhone. Need for Speed Undercover delivers everything hardcore racers could want, from brilliant graphics to great action to cheesy videos. Finger-swipe gestures support features like slow-motion drifting, plus you retain the much-loved Nitro Boost and Speedbreaker options.

Assassin’s Creed: Altaïr’s Chronicles

By far one of the best role playing games, I was thrilled to see this appear on iPhone! Assassin’s Creed: Altaïr’s Chronicles delivers stunning 3D graphics. Ideal for fans of action and adventure games, Assassin’s Creed: Altaïr’s Chronicles has earned praise for its visuals, sound, and game play. I’m sure to purchase this one!

WordPops

Everyone enjoys a good brain-training game, and WordPops comes through by combining elements of Tetris and Scrabble as you race to assemble words and remove letter bubbles on-screen. Row freezes, explosions, and special bubbles keep game play exciting, and attractive graphics and cute sound effects make for a pleasant gaming experience.

What really compels people to purchase these games, are the price. It’s extremely low and for us it’s just right. For example, Assassin’s Creed is only $4.99 which is just over 500 bucks! Go for it.
