Expansion of Ni-Ro to NIRO 4

Nihal Fernando, the leader of the Musical Duo ‘Ni-Ro’ has decided to expand his band to ‘NIRO-4’ by adding a female singer and another experienced musician to the lineup.

Thilak Perera has rejoined Nihal and Virajan Bharathi joined as a guitarist while young Viroshi joins the female singer of NIRO 4.

“Both Thilak and Virajan are experienced musicians that can play the guitar and sing very well .Viroshi is a new comer to the music field but very talented both in singing and playing keyboards.

Our main target is to perform at weddings & home-coming receptions as we are specialized in handling that type of functions. We have a wide repertoire of  Love songs, Wedding songs and Spirituals and special songs  for Christian Weddings” said  Nihal, the leader of NIRO 4.

Nihal is a versatile and experienced musician & a singer who played key-boards and guitar for bands like Sam The Man, Talk of the Town, Pearl, Ice & Fire, Golden Chimes etc.

Nihal, Thilak and Virajan were with “The Diamonds” in ‘70s while both Nihal and Thilak headed the Moratuwa Arts Forum as its Presidents.  Thilak is the brain-child of the  M.A.F.

“I started my solo career as a One Man Band in late ’80s. After playing key-boards with Sam The Man I formed NiRo with  Rohan Manulasuriya, my original co-member of “Ni-Ro” will be my stand by musician as he is too busy with his duties as an Air Traffic Controller.

Forth- coming season will be alright for our Bands & musicians with the dawn of Peace to Sri-Lanka as music scene was badly effected by the war in past decades.” added Nihal.

Nihal can be contacted on 2646008 or 0777 616314.
