'Melodious Minds' (Montessori Day Care Centre) launches Specialized Holistic Program in Early Childhood Education & Fine Arts. Melodious Minds' (Montessori Day Care Centre) entered Sri Lanka recently as a new but experienced player specializing in Early Childhood Education & Fine Arts. The centre will run programs in English medium and will be implemented to International Standards.

The programs are directed and devised by Ms. Murphy; a St. Nicholas Montessori College trained Irish Teacher with a B.A. Honors' degree in Humanities in Montessori Education in both preschool and primary teaching. She has 10 years experience working with youth and children of all ages and backgrounds, from toddlers to teenagers, and has been successfully running this program in Europe for over 5 years.

Melodious Minds aims to educate, nurture talent and create a fully rounded individual. This is the basis of our philosophy. Our roots lie in AMI & St. Nicholas Montessori methodologies in Montessori education with a special emphasis on Fine Arts.

Melodious Minds provide three specific programs that cater to the following ages:
1 ½ - 2 ½ yrs (Pre Montessori)
3 - 5 yrs (Montessori)
1 ½ - 12 yrs After School (Day care)
Programs cover the
following structured areas:

Early Numeracy & Literacy Skills, Music & Movement / Instrument time, Drama & Role-play, Arts & Crafts, Art & Music appreciation, Bodily Kinaesthetic programs, Cultural Awareness, Sensory & Holistic Development, Practical Life Skills, Cookery, Homework club and more.

"We encourage children to embrace their individuality and use it to reach their fullest potential" Says Ms. Murphy - Head Directress. She goes on to say, "We provide programs for Pre-Montessori & Montessori, incorporating the fine arts into their daily schedule so as to allow a creative outlet for each individual in addition to their intellectual development. In today's society, there is a huge demand for structured after-school care as well, which is why we have extended our services for the benefit of working parents" The centre is open Weekdays from 8 a.m - 5.30 p.m daily. All parents and children are invited to view the school on our 'Open Day' on Sunday 15th Feb 2009 from 2 p.m - 5 p.m Enrolments for 'Melodious Minds' are available at the centre and parents are encouraged to visit 'Melodious Minds' Centre at the following address:
