DMK and allies to meet Singh on Dec. 4

The all-party meeting convened by Dravida Munnetra Kazhakam leader and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mutuvel Karunanidhi today decided to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on December 4 to discuss the Sri Lankan Tamil problem, reports said.

The opposition AIADMK and its ally MDMK along with the Communist Party and film star Vijayakanth’s NDMK did not attend the meeting.

The ruling DMK and its allies which include the Congress Party have called for an immediate ceasefire to the Sri Lankan conflict..
