US Ast. Trade Rep. for South Asia visits Trinco port

Assistant United States Trade Representative for South Asia (AUSTR) Michael J. Delaney visited the Trincomalee Port today.

The purpose of his visit was to observe facilities for international trade and meet with local business leaders, the US Embassy said. Mr. Delaney was accompanied by US Ambassador Robert Blake.

Mr. Delaney held discussions with Residence Manager W. Nimal Jayatisse and Deputy Harbour Master Captain Laksi Wasantha during his tour at the Trincomalee Port.

Mr. Delaney is currently on a three day visit to Sri Lanka to discuss trade and investment issues between Sri Lanka and the US. .
