No tsunami threat to Sri Lanka: Met Dept

The Meterological Department has declared that there has been no warning of a tsunami threat.

"It is only a rumour. We have issued an announcement that there is no reason to panic", a spokesperson for the Department said.

Persons living in the south had panicked following rumours of a tsunami threat.
