Waiting for Obama
A fellow traveller, who has been religiously batting for Barack Obama, wrote in this week: "I think through divine intervention, good luck or whatever, Obama has it wrapped up. We can go to sleep now and wake up on November 5 to a President-elect Obama set for the Oval Office! I have no illusions about Obama. But I'm sure he will at least be less belligerent and that itself will undo some of the mess the Bush administration has created in the past eight years…"
Speaker Chatterjee lets his feet speak
Indian parliament made history a few days ago when Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee staged a walkout from the house. The Speaker could have sent out of the house the members casting aspersions on his rulings. But he wanted to see if a Yogi-like behaviour could move the Commissars to reason.
