Army captures Jayapuram

Jayapuyram, located west of the A 32 road in the Kilinochchi district was captured by security forces this morning, Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakara said.

The LTTE is reported to have suffered heavy casualties in the military offensive.

The operations were carried out by troops of the 58th division of the Army. .
