Colombo stockmarket, banks closed on Poya holiday

The Colombo stockmarket and banks were closed on Tuesday owing to the Poya holiday. The markets and banks will reopen tomorrow (Wednesday).

On Monday, share prices gained at the Colombo bourse with the All Share Index rising by 58.89 points to 1,983.25 while the Milanka rose by 69.19 points to 2,194.59. Turnover was Rs 97 million.
