18 civilians from uncleared areas hand themselves over to Navy

A group of 18 civilians from Kilinochchi and Mulativu districts who had escaped the uncleared areas by boat handed themselves over to the Navy yesterday, Police Spookesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekara said.

The refugees were then transferred to the Talaimannar police and from there they were taken to the Mannar Civilian Coordinating Office, SSP Gunasekara said.
