Suspect arrested in connection with murder of Muslim youth

One suspect was arrested in connection with this morning's murder of a Muslim youth in Dehiwala, police said.

Police Spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekara said the suspect was taken into custody by Dehiwala police following the murder of T. M. Aslam early today.

Aslam had boarded a threewheeler in Dehiwala around 2 am. SSP Gunasekara said two people had reportedly killed Aslam along the way in Dharmaraja Mawatha, Dehiwala around 2.30 am.

The police are continuing the search for the other suspect, he said..
