Top of the world VERTISTMENTS

Not only am I standing on top of the world, I am actually swaying there. I try not to think about this fact as I peer down at the vast city of Toronto, diminished to a bird's eye view.

I can also see its suburbs, the deep blue of Lake Ontario, the faraway mist over the Niagara Falls, and beyond it, faintly, the city of Rochester in the United States. Far below me, a plane zooms slowly towards the airport.

Standing on the Skypod, the World's Highest Public Observation Deck at 1,465 feet, in the CN Tower – Canada's most celebrated icon – is definitely a heady experience.

 
Making the most of your media player
Upon listening to my female readers out there, and a few other comments, I have decided to stop calling this column BoyToys and from now on, it will just be Toys… Moving on, this week we won't be looking at a gadget per se. We'll be looking at what you can do with that new music phone or portable media player that you just bought, and how you can get the best sound quality out of it.
 
Spreading their sound
Listening to Soul Sounds always does good things to me – the fine hair on the back of my neck literally stands on end; sometimes I get goose bumps, at other times I catch myself grinning in delight, often my feet tap involuntarily and always, always I am swept away by the pure, jubilant wonder of the music they make.
