So sleep well tonight,
dream softly in stars' delight;
And may the great gods guard you
and shield you tonight
Shield you from the evils
that hold the world in fright;
And bless you endless
with health, wealth and bestow light
And make soar your hopes
with each sparrow's springing flight;
To achieve your dreams,
aspirations sans a blush
And realise restrained love
in your heart in full flush.
Wake gently in the morn,
and may your hopes be born
To see realized
in a rainbow's brand new dawn
The sweetest bliss
of the suave swan's first birth song;
And in its soft music,
in each flute's sweet note that blows
May you hear
my love's serenade ever echo.
For, though, unbeknown,
and without pause or murmur,
The relentless tenor
of my love will e'er bestir
The rhapsodic rapture
which now ceaseless ever flow,
And lie unmourned,
unsung at your unloving heart's door.
So dream softly tonight,
sleep blessed with sweetest dreams
And may the moonbeams
shed its soft sweet light on you;
Tender's the night
and in the moon's soothing light,
Find in the divine haven of bliss,
divine peace of mind.
And may the divine Gods
in their heavens bless you;
And, in my love,
find a love everlasting and true.
