Marians celebrate 20 years in showbiz

Marians, popular musical outfit from Chilaw will be celebrating their two decades of music with a mega concert at the BMICH. 'Marians Miyesi Manthra', a unique and a novel concert featuring Marians will come alive on April 5 at the BMICH at 7.00pm. The Marians who got together as a 7 member group 20 years ago now comprise of 10 extremely talented musicians. Their repertoire of songs is vast and have established as one of Sri Lanka's most recognized musical outfits, who have introduced a new culture to the Sri Lankan music scene.

The recent concept 'Marians unplugged' have proved beyond doubt that they are an innovative band. Nalin who has been a frontline singer of the band from the very inception, made a big impact on local entertainment scene with his singing as a T.V. presenter and composer later in his career.

He considers this event as a great achievement in his musical career. The 120 minute anniversary concert will be a new experience for the Sri Lankan music scene. The concert will bring the talents of the best the entertainment industry in Sri Lanka has to offer, assisted by the best in technology with the involvement of recognized professionals.

It is an evening that will cater to both young and old with comedy acts, and top quality choreography backed by excellent music dished out by The Marians. The selection of songs will be from a wide repertoire covering both Sinhala and English. The show could be rated as one of the most expensive productions ever put together by a local band, and a concert that should not be missed!

The tickets are prices at Rs 3000/-, 2500/-, 1500/-, Rs 1000/- and Rs 500/- (balcony) can purchase from Torana Liberty Plaza or Vibrations, Union Place.
