Ericsson roadshow bridges digital divide

Ericsson Sri Lanka recently concluded a successful road show where it presented its industry leading portfolio of innovative telecommunication solutions. The showcase was aimed at increasing the awareness of the Sri Lankan operators about its vast and comprehensive portfolio of cutting edge products, services and solutions along with the key strategies it offers, with emphasis on Ericsson’s vision and road maps for the future, the company said. Hasse Olausson, Chief Technical Officer, Ericsson Telecommunications Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd, while emphasizing that Ericsson provides a complete spectrum of end-to-end products for mobile and fixed line operators in Sri Lanka said, “The primary objective of this event was to showcase our extensive product and service portfolio including mobile systems, wireless systems, broad band and multimedia to our customers which helps them achieve a competitive edge on their total cost of ownership”. Ericsson demonstrated its several key, operator-friendly initiatives, some of which included '3G-Life Store' – an attractive multimedia and lifestyle oriented blogging and user-generated content portal for mobile operators, 'Mobile@Home' – a consumer friendly, convergence solution that turns mobile phones into IP phones at home, and 'Tower Tube' – a market leading and radical base station design that helps lower operator CAPEX and OPEX by encapsulating all the necessary equipment in an aesthetic, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly tower.
