Top global PR firm soon in Lanka

Burson-Marsteller (BM), one of the world’s leading PR agency networks, will establish its footprint in Sri Lanka when local PR firm Rowland PR becomes a part of BM’s South Asian network.

Rowland PR developed from a 1996 affiliation of Bates Strategic Alliance’s PR arm with Rowland Communications Worldwide, and the operation is spearheaded by its CEO Nimal Gunewardena,

The agency has entered into an MOU to become the Burson-Marsteller affiliate in Sri Lanka with an official launch in April. Rowlands PR Director Rezani Aziz said that she and Gunewardena will attend BM’s South Asian Strategy Summit in Gurgaon, India in April which will be chaired by BM’s Chairman, Asia Pacific & Vice Chairman for Global Development Bill Rylance as a prelude to the local launch.
