President of AAT Sri Lanka

H. M. Hennayake Bandara

The Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AATSL) elected H. M. Hennayake Bandara as its President for 2008 and 2009 at the Council Meeting held recently. He takes over from Lal Nanayakkara.

The AATSL is a recognised professional body for Accounting Technicians, established in December 1987 through the initiative of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL).

It has successfully catered to the growing shortage in Accounting nd Audit personnel at the middle level both in the government and private sector, through the membership and qualifications it awards.

Bandara has served the AAT Council for the past 10 years and was elected as Secretary in 2004 and Vice President in 2006. He is the Deputy General Manager (Finance, Planning and Asset Management) of the National Savings Bank (NSB).
