Two more top cricketers as tourism ambassadors

Two more world-class cricketers in the Sri Lankan team are tipped to be tourism ambassadors, joining former ‘greats’ Arjuna Ranatunga and Aravinda de Silva, officials said.

The unnamed duo is currently with the national team in Australia. The Tourism Ministry says it is still in the scrutinizing stage,
“We haven’t confirmed it yet, we are in the process of studying people, it does not necessarily have to be sports people” said Additional Secretary to the Ministry, George Michael.
