Films of yesteryear are the best

Mrs. Nalini de Livera of Negombo writes..

I take this opportunity to highlight telecasting of films of yesteryear. It is a kind consideration of the managements of all TV Channels unquestionably. I'm truly happy since the films we couldn't enjoy at the cinema could be seen on TV. I can see all the TV Channels has put their best foot forward to entertain the viewers.

These are so many musical programmes, chats shows, discussions, debates, educational and drasmas on television to select from. They all have a good following and the main object is enjoyment. It's very economical than going to a cinema for a film. Though it is not the same feeling like cinema, I still believe, we can enjoy a telefilm at home with comfort.

I'm extremely happy to watch Gamini Fonseka's 'Nidhanaya' and 'Welikathara' on television. Those were Gamini's best films. I'm forever grateful to Sirasa for Sirasa Super Star 1 and 2. Hope this will be the most tremendous show of the year for the next few years.

Swarnawahini too must be complimented for their films and teledramas. I'm truly glad and want to convey my regards to the 'Nalan Mendis' Mendis' for his new teledrama.
