The ‘Chartered Marketer’ for the marketing CEO’s

The Chartered Marketer magazine from the Chartered Institute of Management is being touted as ‘the thinking of Sri Lanka’s elite marketers’ as its seventh issue was released this month.

The magazine provides a wealth of appealing and innovative articles on different aspects of marketing and information on news, events and activities for the coming months.

The latest issue features an interview with Chief Executive Officer of Eagle Insurance, Deepal Sooriyaarachchi on values and the business and features several articles from marketing experts such as Dr. Uditha Liyanage, Director of the Post Graduate Institute of Management on the ‘Five Hats of the Consumer.’

In the article, he says that meeting customer needs is fundamental to business. Therefore, knowing what consumers want and different roles they play become imperative to any organization.

Other topics covered include marketers in the boardroom, insights into innovation, positive destination marketing, the power of storytelling in brand building and out of the box marketing strategies for hostile and declining markets.
