Aeturnum launches CSR initiative

Recognizing the plight of an underprivileged widowed mother with two young children, Aeturnum Foundation, the social responsibility initiative of Aeturnum, Inc. recently provided financial assistance to Ms. L.D. Swarna by opening bank accounts for them.

The two children were given pass books with a monthly allowance for clothes and essentials until they turned 18 when they will be entitled to the funds to further their education.

Swarna has been living in a wooden shack measuring roughly eight square feet after her husband tragically died due to a motor accident. She earns a living by selling fresh flowers to pilgrims while her daughters attend the local school.

Aeturnum Foundation decided to assist her as a first step towards lending a helping hand to the needy citizens of Sri Lanka. The Foundation plans to help alleviate the miseries of poverty and lack of education in Sri Lanka taking initiative with this small step, according to a press release issued by its local partner.

US-based Aeturnum Inc has been providing software development and IT consulting services to North America since 2001 and initiated operations in Sri Lanka in November 2006 as a part of its global expansion initiative. Since then Aeturnum Lanka (Pvt) Ltd functions as a subsidiary of Aeturnum Inc and is engaged in providing a variety of software services.
