Reggie’s recognizes Sri Lanka’s best ad craftsmen

The Reggie’s 2007 held at Colombo’s Taj Samudra Hotel recently proved to be a creativity-fuelled energetic event that brought together the cream of the Sri Lankan advertising fraternity, the organizers said.

Seem as the precursor to the highly competitive advertising awards – The Chillies --, the Reggie’s saw an enthusiastic response from agencies, production houses and individuals alike – with over 500 submissions in the 15 categories under Print, Radio and TV.

This year the Reggie’s saw a cross section of winners in several categories with fledgling agencies shared the limelight with the big names in the industry. Several individual winners were also recognized.

Coming out at the top with a total of 14 awards was Leo Burnett Solutions while Grant McCann Erickson bagged 3 Winner, 6 Runner Up and 4 Merit awards, JWT received 2 Winner, 6 Runner Up and 6 Merit awards and Triad Advertising walked away with 3 Winner, 1 Runner Up and 2 Merit awards.

TV production company Video Image was also often in the spotlight with 1 Winner, 3 Runner Up and 3 Merit awards. The top award for Copywriting went to Grey Colombo.
