82% of Burnetters participate in sponsored training

Leo Burnett Solutions Inc. (LBSI), the local branch of advertising giant Leo Burnett Worldwide, has lived up to its global commitment to training members of the Burnett family with their many training initiatives organised over the year. Proving its commitment to continually raising the bar in local and international advertising standards, LBSI has involved upto 82% of its team members in a series of interesting and highly participatory training sessions. The agency said in a statement that a cross section of staff participated in a variety of training programmes – from the Managing Director to many executives.

Various such sessions and workshops have been organised by LBSI over the past year, aimed at beginners, mid-level professionals, and management through a number of intensive and inclusive training programmes. Upto 64 members of the LBSI team have attended these sessions, which have featured a host of well recognised local and international speakers, including Michael Conrad, Richard Irvin, Richard Dale, Linda Locke, Sue de Cruz, Lye Peng, Russel Miranda, Dileepa Abeysekera, Ravi Bamunusighe, Trevor Kennedy and LBSI Managing Director Ranil de Silva.

LBSI has also been concentrating in overseas training sessions, with Burnetters participating in over 56 foreign training programmes in Oxford, Malaysia, Phillipines, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and India. Additionally, LBSI’s contingent to the Ad Fest 2007 in Pattaya – comprising 14 Burnetters – was the largest delegation to ever be sent to the highly acclaimed festival by a local agency.
