Cinnamon Grand staffer wins ‘Telephone Operator for 2007’

Melanie Bennett from Cinnamon Grand won the coveted trophy for the ‘Telephone Operator of the Year 2007’ competition organized by the Lions Club of Colombo Elvitigala in collaboration with Metropolitan and Erickson last week. Nominees from Dialog Telecom Plc and Lanka Bell Pvt. Ltd were adjudged second and third, respectively.

The prestigious competition is an annual event and was open to all industries, organizations including other five star properties and telecommunication service providers. Over 58 competitors took part. “It is a great honour to win a competition of this nature and I sincerely thank the Cinnamon Grand team and the training department for all their help, support and encouragement,” said a jubilant Bennet who is seen here the prestigious award and the special cash reward of Rs.100,000.
