‘Jeewithaya Lassanai’ records 250th episode

‘Jeewithaya Lassanai’ all-week-days teledrama celebrates its 250th episode on November 12. Rated as one of the most popular teledramas telecast at present, the series is directed by Ravindra Wijeyratne and produced by Sandya Mendis for 'Susila' Production.

It plays a mixture of both veteran and talented cast including Irangani Serasinghe, Somasiri Alakolange, Kusum Perera, Jagath Chamila, Lahiru Mudalige, Gayan Wickramathilake, Niroshan Wijesinghe, Nadeesha Alahapperuma, Malani Weeramuni, Umayangana Wickramasinghe, Deepani Silva, Danushka Ratnayake, Janak Premalal, Sampath Shri Rohana, Alfred Perera, Ayomi Shanilca and Wijeratne Warakagoda.

The story tells about a father, Manuwansha, a musician who has seven children with the names of seven melodies. He determines to take them on a long journey in the music industry. It revolves around a father and his above intention, the seven children searching for independence, and a loving mother who is caught in between, silently struggling to protect her family.

This musical teledrama provides the Sri Lankan audience with a new experience and this is the first time in the Sri Lankan history of tele-industry, a long five-day series is created and tele cast involving only Sri Lankan artistes.

Executive Producer in the drama is Hema Nalin Karunaratne, while camera is handled by Chandana Dharmapriya. Art director Deepthi Mangalasoma, editor Saman Ariyaratne and script writers are Gayan Kavinda Malawiarachchi, Asanka Sayakkara, Anoma Wij ayawardane and Chathura Adikaram. Musical score is by Rohana Weerasinghe.
