'Jeewithaya Horu Arang'

'Jeewithya Horu Arang' is a miniplay that describes the fate of present younger generation which tries to upstream against many tidal waves of social injustices. Directed by Chandana Hewapathirana and produced by Samanmalee Hewamanna, award winning filmmaker Benette Ratnayake for Benn Films is the executive producer.

The drama revolves around young Suresh, a representative of typical younger generation which struggle to makes his own way of life. He dreams about a new way of social order, different to his previous generation. And Aravinda is more realistic and intelligent to understand the social injustice and prejudices. He can adjust himself to the social changes.

And also Jayanath a courageous and well-to do. He uses the existing political culture with its stinking inequality, unfairness and discriminations to climb the ladder of success. With these and many other characters, ‘Jeewithaya Horu Arang’ is to bring a novel experience to teledrama viewers in this country.

It has a talented cast including Palitha Silva, Jayani Senanayake, Sarath Kotalawela, Udara Ratnayake, Jagath Manuwarana, Keerthi K. Ratnayake, Priyantha Lalith, L. Dharshan, Bagya Ratnayake, Neeta Samaranayake, Hemantha Eeriyagama, Anurudhdha Bambheerarachchi, Nisadhi Gunasinghe and Ratne D. Nambuge. In the technical staff, scripted by Thiwanka Udagedara, camera and lighting by Manoj Ranasinghe and art director is Sumathi Kudalogama. Makeup by Priyantha Ishwara and assistant director is Chaminda Hewawasam.
